I edited the so-called "kiss scene", ie the first attempt. It is one of my favorite scene. It turned out to be more unsettling as I thought. I had a lot of pleasure to edit it.

feelings concerning the editing #2

I'm almost done with the editing of this scene I'm working on for a while.

At first, it was a transition scene. The actors needed to be introduced. And it turned out to be an actual scene.

I offer to the viewer to remain in the dark for a few minutes, careful to every single glow, to every single noise, to the voices. It could end up in a very intimate experience.

This proposition matters to me. It is one of the reasons I made this movie. So I take care of it.

I tried something quite sophisticated for the editing. Then I cleared it. It is very simple by now.

Editing is a very meticulous activity, so calm, so quiet, like the building of a house of cards. But this is a real buzz though.

feelings concerning the editing

I'm editing one of the first scenes of the movie. I have about 45 minutes of rushes. I'm going to try to keep something like 5 minutes. It's an interview. We are in the dark, playing with matches. We talk about ourselves. We open up. We make the introductions somehow. We take our time.

It may be very intimate to be so close to our voices.

At first, it felt weird to see a scene I made up more than two years ago. A wide smile ate my face.

I also must say that this is awkward to see and to hear myself.

But Marcel says quite pretty things during this interview.

And the idea I have to edit it could be surprising and really thrilling.

fresh news

There's enough points which needs to be cleared up out there (what is the running time of the movie, what is the actual plot, what really happened between Claude and Marcel...) that I felt up to conduct an investigation.

Here is what I found out so far:

• Claude has disappeared. He doesn't give any news and remains silent. He was exhausted after the shooting and may be somewhere to recover. (This picture is the only thing he sent lately)
• He must be still editing the movie.
• The digitization is done: there's 107 shots and around 20 hours of rushes.
• Claude was relieved, satisfied and proud when he check out the rushes.

I will try to get further information. I may be able to get the notes Claude took during the shooting of Unfaithful and perhaps some pictures of the movie.

Born in 1968, Eric Pougeau is a contemporary artist living and working in Paris.

Former guitarist in the parisian cult band of noise music Flaming Demonics, he is used to question the childhood, the moral, the death with a radical cheeck.

Childish handwriting, marbl slabs, funeral sprays, spray of urine...

His work is published in the book Fils de pute (Motherfucker), FLTMSTPC.

He conceived the piece "enculé" ("asshole") in the film Unfaithful.
